A former WWE star has pitched a match against two opponents following the recent Saturday Night’s Main Event.
The December 13 show saw John Cena compete in a WWE ring for the last time, along with a card of main roster and NXT stars.
With AJ Styles and Dragon Lee teaming up once again, they’d face off against NXT’s Je’Von Evans and TNA X Division Champion Leon Slater.
The main roster stars would be victorious in the tag team match, with a former WWE champion now targeting Evans and Slater.
In a post shared on Twitter, Matt Hardy stated that The Hardy Boyz still want to face Evans and Slater in a message reading:
“Also, before I forget, we still want The Hardy Boyz vs @LEONSLATER_ & @WWEJeVonEvans match to happen. Putting it out there. #SNME”
Slater is no stranger to sharing the ring with The Hardys, recently teaming with the tag team and Cedric Alexander at a TNA iMPACT taping.
Far from the first time they teamed together, Slater has also stood across the ring from The Hardy Boyz, teaming with Cedric Alexander back in August.
Slater and Evans have been a tag team since September of this year, with the TNA X Division Champion recently commenting on the “friendly competition” between the duo.
That competition saw Slater defend his X Division Championship against Evans at TNA Bound for Glory in October, with the match ending with a no contest result.
