Matt Hardy Addresses First Title Match On WWE TV In 6 Years WWE/AEW

After recently making his in-ring WWE return by way of NXT, Matt Hardy has spoken out about his first title match on WWE programming in nearly six years.

After dispatching the No Quarter Catch Crew’s Myles Borne and Tavion Heights on Tuesday’s NXT (February 25), Matt and Jeff Hardy were greeted by reigning NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer and Axiom.

After a face-off in the ring between the two teams, TNA’s Director of Authority Santino Marella announced that The Hardys will defend their TNA World Tag Team Championships against Fraxiom at NXT Roadblock on March 11.

Taking to Twitter to address Fraxiom ahead of their clash at Madison Square Garden, Matt Hardy wrote:

Jeff & I like Fraxiom. We respect Fraxiom. Hell, I’d even say we’re friendly.

On March 11th, we battle the NXT Tag Champs Fraxiom at #Roadblock in NYC at @TheTheaterAtMSG. It’s a match to determine who’s currently the best tag team in the world. For 33 years, Jeff & I have bet on ourselves.

@WWENXT#Roadblock will be no different. Mark our words, The Hardys will fight with every fiber of our beings to earn & protect our legacy. The pro wrestling industry doesn’t make them like myself & Brother Nero anymore.

WE ARE FOREVER ♾
SOMOS PARA SIEMPRE ♾

The last time The Hardy Boyz competed in a title match on WWE TV was in April 2019, with NXT Roadblock set to break that six year streak, albeit with TNA gold on the line rather than WWE.
