Earlier this year, Matt Hardy departed All Elite Wrestling after four years with the promotion in April. Meanwhile, his brother Jeff Hardy exited the company in June.
The Hardys then made their return to TNA Wrestling, but neither brother signed a full-time contract with the promotion.
Per PWInsider, The Hardy Boyz met with WWE officials in Cleveland, Ohio on Friday, August 2.
The report notes that there is no word on what was exactly discussed, but content was filmed with Matt and Jeff Hardy to be rolled out via WWE digital platforms.
The former multi-time WWE Tag Team Champions are scheduled for this weekend’s TNA Wrestling tapings in Tampa and are doing a fan signing at Friday’s WrestleCon Destination Cleveland convention.
The Hardy Boyz recently said they were open to returning to WWE, potentially in NXT as part of the TNA crossovers, with Matt even teasing a match with NXT Tag Team Champions Axiom and Nathan Frazer.
WrestleTalk will provide any further updates on The Hardys returning to WWE when they become available.
