According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, John Cena has been added to WWE’s live event in Shanghai, China on September 1. The star even tweeted his excitement.
The 6th move of doom.
Ready for #WWEShanghai.
Sept 1st.— John Cena (@JohnCena) August 3, 2018
It has been widely speculated that the WrestleMania 34 rematch between Cena and The Undertaker will not take place at SummerSlam on August 19, meaning this will be the first time the star will have wrestled since the Greatest Royal Rumble in April.
As per the released poster, the former 16-time World Heavyweight Champion will also be part of WWE Super Show-Down on October 1 in Australia. Like his appearance in China, it is unknown who his opponent will be at present.
John Cena has been absent from WWE thanks to movie commitments and will appear in Transformers spinoff Bumblebee in December as well as the voice of Yoshi in 2019’s the Voyage of Doctor Dolittle. On television, he will soon be heard voicing Baron Draxum in Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – a role he’ll reprise for the second season – and lending his tones to Robo in Dallas & Robo, a show he will also executively produce.
Come and join the conversation on Twitter and Discord today. WrestleTalk want to know who you would like to see John Cena face in Australia, whether it’s unfair he’ll compete on live events but not on television, and if his time in professional wrestling is over.
