Michin has revealed that she thought she was “never gonna have a WrestleMania moment” during he time as a WWE star.
Previously known as Mia Yim, Michin’s history in WWE goes back to 2014, which saw her an enhancement talent, returning three years later for the Mae Young Classic.
She would sign with WWE in September 2018, remaining with the company until her release in November 2021, returning the following year, later adopting the name Michin.
During that time, the star hadn’t had a WrestleMania moment, something she reflected upon in the recently released episode of What’s Your Story? with Stephanie McMahon (recorded before this year’s two night WWE PLE), saying:
“I love what I do, I love being here. I love just wrestling and hanging out with my friends, but there was a moment where I’m like ‘I’m never gonna have a WrestleMania moment,’ and that’s ok because I’m still living my dream.
“For this to happen, and it happened so fast, I feel like that always happens, so fast out of nowhere. That, oh my God, there’s an actual possibility that I can do something at WrestleMania, like what?
“Even if it’s just coming out on Jade’s entrance or getting involved in any way. That is more than I ever thought was ever going to happen to me. So, I’m excited, I love that I get to finally be a heel. It’s so much fun.”

Night 2 of WrestleMania 42 saw Jade Cargill defend the WWE Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley, with Michin and B-Fab making their presence felt during the match.
Michin would also share her belief that her current run, alongside Cargill and B-Fab, feels more “authentic” than her previous incarnations.
It’s Not Just A Match That Makes A WrestleMania Moment
There’s a certain joy in seeing a WWE star “point at the sign” as they make their pitch for WrestleMania, the long-running PLE that remains the crown in the calendar.
A two-night PLE it may be, but with WrestleMania 42 offering seven matches on the first and six on the second, there’s limited opportunities for stars to get their moment competitively.
There are other ways to get that moment, though, with Michin noting that she would have been seemingly satisfied to be just part of Cargill’s entrance. She would get involved in a more physical way, however, although it would be Ripley who would be victorious.
This year’s event also saw Danhausen and Kit Wilson get their first-ever WrestleMania moment, with neither being in a match. Their segment was all the more remarkable as it took place not only in the ring, but in the company of John Cena, who had retired in December of last year.
WrestleMania isn’t just about the matches, but very much about the spectacle of WWE as a form of entertainment and it’s clear why stars want to be get their moment, however it may manifest. As Michin says, though, she was “still living my dream” even without that much sought-after appearance.
Cargill may no longer be the WWE Women’s Champion, but she remains a top member of the roster, which could lead to another WrestleMania moment for Michin and B-Fab down the line.
