A city has confirmed it is putting together a bid to hold the 2025 WWE Money in the Bank Premium Live Event.
On September 10, 2024, Milwaukee Business Journal confirmed that Sports Milwaukee was putting together a bid for next year’s show.
Sports Milwaukee Director Marissa Werner confirmed the plans to the Milwaukee Business Journal, with it also being noted that the event would likely take place at the Fiserv Forum.
Fiserv Forum has been a regular venue for WWE in the city with Raw, SmackDown and Main Event taking place there since 2018.
The last visit to 17,500 seat Fiserv Forum was the March 22, 2024 episode of WWE SmackDown.
Milwaukee’s mayor Cavalier Johnson told the Business Journal that he is “a huge WWE fan” with the city in talks to hold host a large-scale event.
The city was previously the host for Elimination Chamber in 2012 and Fastlane in 2017, both of which took place at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
The report notes that, if the city is able to secure WWE Money in the Bank, it could lead to being the host for bigger PLEs in the future.
Werner noted that they were aiming to host either SummerSlam or Royal Rumble.
The last three Money in the Bank events have taken place in July with the 2023 edition being the first to be held outside of the United States and Canada.
The 2023 WWE Money in the Bank took place at The O2 Arena in London, England and was, at the time of writing, the highest-grossing WWE arena show.
