Title Change After Tag Team Split At WWE Money In The Bank 2023

Title Change After Tag Team Split At WWE Money In The Bank 2023 WWE

A surprising turn of events in a big title match tonight live in London at WWE Money in the Bank.

With the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on the line, Ronda Rousey and her fellow champ Shayna Baszler took on former champs Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan.

Liv Morgan was a fan favorite in attire channeling not only the Great British flag but also, Geri Halliwell from the Spice Girls and her iconic Union Jack dress.

Mid-way through the match however, it became clear that this title bout would have a very atypical ending!

While Ronda Rousey had Liv Morgan in her sights, instead her tag partner Baszler snapped, attacked Ronda Rousey and then left the ring.

With the crowd chanting, “Shayna Baszler!” seemingly in support of the betrayal, the match continued.

Raquel Rodriguez tagged in Morgan who hit an Oblivion on Ronda Rousey to capture a pinfall victory and win back their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

It has been known that there were plans for a Rousey vs Baszler feud sometime soon, and that Rousey would be taking some time off soon so WWE wanted to get it done before that time comes, hence why there was no time wasted in Rousey and Baszler winning the championship when it was initially vacated by Rodriguez and Morgan in May, and then dropping it back to them here.
