WWE Star Achieves Rare Multi-Promotion Accomplishment WWE

With AAA Triplemanía XXXIII in the record books, a WWE star has achieved a rare feat thanks to their match.

The August 16 show, which set an all-time gate for AAA and scored four million viewers in its first 24 hours on YouTube, saw The Judgment Day in action.

Finn Balor, JD McDonagh and Raquel Rodriguez teamed up to face Mr Iguana, Nino Hamburguesa and Lola Vice in a mixed trios match.

The Judgment Day would secure the win in the match, with Balor also achieving a record for his appearance at the Arena CDMX show.

Following his Triplemanía appearance, Finn Balor has become only the second star to compete at WWE WrestleMania, AAA Triplemanía, CMLL Aniversario and NJPW Wrestle Kingdom, per data on Cagematch.net.

Ahead of signing with WWE in 2014, the former Prince Devitt had his final NJPW Wrestle Kingdom match in January of that year, losing the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship to Kota Ibushi.

The first star to achieve this record was another WWE star, in the form of SmackDown’s Andrade.

With a run in AEW to his name, Andrade returned to WWE in January 2024 at that month’s Royal Rumble.

With Mr Iguana breaking out La Yesca, Balor would respond with the debut of Demonito, a plushie puppet created by Jason Baker, who has previously created props and masks for numerous WWE stars, including Bray Wyatt, Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley and the Wyatt Sicks.
