Who Pitched Crazy AJ Styles & Mustafa Ali WWE Styles Clash Revealed WWE

The name of the person who pitched the Styles Clash finish to AJ Styles vs Mustafa Ali vs The Miz has now been revealed.

The match in question took place on the August 1, 2022 Raw episode, with the Triple Threat deciding the WWE United States Champion number one contender.

AJ Styles was ultimately victorious, pinning Mustafa Ali following a reversal of his 450 splash which many fans still fondly talk about to this day.

Speaking to Rewind Recap Relive, Ali looked back at the moment that saw his 450 Splash countered into a Styles Clash, revealing the name of the person who came up with the idea.

According to Ali, the backstage producer Shawn Daivari was the man behind the moment, revealing:

“It was actually the idea of a producer named Shawn Daivari, a former WWE talent. He kind of asked if that was possible.

“I think the original concept was to hit the 450, then have AJ kind of drag me out of it. Then I was like ‘I’m pretty sure I can get enough of a bounce if The Miz flares up his arms a little bit.’

“AJ’s so strong, he just muscled me up anyway. Very, very cool, I think it’s a finish that no one saw coming.”

Daivari is no stranger to the ring, having competed in WWE and TNA Wrestling, among many promotions in his career.

He made a return to WWE in June 2021 and continues to serve as a backstage producer.

During the interview, Ali noted that it would be an “honor” to face AJ Styles in singles action before the WWE star retires.
