A WWE name has apologised for their recent on air reaction to the closing moments of a main event championship match.
At WWE NXT’s Halloween Havoc event, Ricky Saints defended his NXT Championship in the main event against Trick Williams, with Ricky picking up the win to retain the title.
On commentary, Booker T was in support of Trick Williams in the match, with Booker throwing his headset in frustration after Trick’s loss.
On his Hall of Fame Podcast, Booker apologised for his reaction on the show, saying:
“I wanna apologise to the NXT Universe for throwing my headset at the end of the Ricky Saints Trick Williams match.
“I was a little upset, I was backing my boy Trick Williams, but Ricky Saints he showed up and went out there and did his job, even though he had the little Xerxes veil going.
“I just wanted to apologise because that got picked up in the news. Look here, we’ve all got our favourites, it’s just part of the game.”
