A WWE name has hilarious buried a ‘crap’ former faction after it was referenced by the company on social media.
Yesterday, WWE shared a special birthday message to SmackDown announcer Wade Barrett, in which they poked fun at his time running the infamous faction ‘The Corre’.
They tweeted:
We’ve got some … GOOD NEWS!
It’s Wade Barrett’s birthday! Happy birthday to the former leader of the Corre.
The Corre was a shortlived faction that Barrett formed after leaving the Nexus back in 2011, consisting of himself, Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel and Ezekiel Jackson.
The group was positioned as ‘four equals’ during their short time together, with the group breaking up in the Summer of 2011.
Barrett was quick to point out the error in WWE‘s initial tweet, but made sure to dunk on the group.
He responded:
