A WWE name has referenced a current star’s former character after praising him following a recent crushing loss.
Last night’s WWE NXT show ended with the crowning of a new number one contender for the NXT Championship, when Ridge Holland scored the victory over Andre Chase.
With Chase’s defeat, not only was he unable to earn the shot at the title, but Chase U was forced to disband, bringing an end to the group as we know it.
Following the loss, Andre Chase took to Twitter, where he thanked the fans and his former stablemates Duke Hudson, Riley Osborne and Thea Hail.
He wrote:
And I guess that’s the TEACHABLE MOMENT…
You guys never needed me. I was the one who always needed y’all.
Thank you for everything. I wouldn’t be here without you. @theahail_wwe @sixftfiiiiive @Turbo_JoshTerry #WWENXT
Raw General Manager Adam Pearce responded to Chase’s comment, praising him for having a certain ‘bravado’, saying:
Proud of you. You’ve always had that certain bravado.
‘Bravado’ is a reference to Harlem Bravado, the independent name of Chase before joining WWE back in 2020.
