WWE Senior Director of Content and Development Jeremy Borash has commented on the Motor City Machine Guns’ “long overdue” debut in the company.
On the October 18 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, the Motor City Machine Guns made their long awaited debut in WWE by picking up a win over Los Garza and A Town Down Under.
WWE then posted a video with comments from Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley talking about bringing their brand of tag team excellence to the company.
On October 20, Jeremy Borash took to social media to comment on their “long overdue” WWE debut. He wrote:
Well deserved and long overdue. Congrats Alex and Chris!
Borash worked with both Sabin and Shelley during their time in TNA Wrestling in the 2000s and 2010s.
Thanks to their win, The Motor City Machine Guns will face DIY to determine the number one contenders for The Bloodline’s WWE Tag Team Championships on the October 25 episode of SmackDown.
