New WWE Name Revealed WWE

A new WWE name appears to have been revealed following a trademark filing with the United States Patent & Trademark Office.

WWE has filed to trademark the name “JC Mateo.” The application description indicates WWE plans for this term to be used in categories related to “entertainment services.”

The following description accompanied the filing:

Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service;

providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information;

fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment

While WWE’s plans for the name JC Mateo are currently unclear, there has been some speculation that this could be the new name of Jeff Cobb.

Cobb made his WWE debut at Backlash on May 10, interfering in the US Championship fourway bout and aligning with Solo Sikoa.

An update has emerged on WWE potentially changing Jeff Cobb’s ring name, which you can read more about right here.
