WWE Name Working Without A Contract Following Contract Expiration WWE

A WWE name has been working without a contract following a recent expiration, and is set to leave the company next week.

Today, WWE SmackDown interviewer Kayla Braxton announced that she would be leaving WWE, with next week’s SmackDown show in Madison Square Garden set to be her final date with the company.

Kayla’s departure came just weeks after fans noticed that she had taken WWE out of her usernames on social media, instead using her real name Kayla Becker, which led to questions about her future.

When Fightful had reached out to WWE in regards to her status, they were told that she was still with the company, but now more information has been revealed.

Per Fightful Select (subscription required), Kayla is currently working for the company under a verbal agreement between the two sides, with her deal with the company recently expiring.

The two sides had been in discussions, but it’s not known what came of them.

Fightful was also told that AEW had been made aware of her contract status several weeks ago, but it’s not known if that was due to direct communication between Kayla or an agent.

Kayla signed with WWE back in 2016 and has served numerous roles in the company, primarily as a backstage interviewer and Kickoff show panelist.
