WWE Hall of Famer Jesse ‘The Body’ Ventura has commented on his appearance on the July 29 of Raw, namedropping CM Punk.
Footage was shown of Triple H greeting Ventura, the former governor of Minnesota, with Michael Cole noting that the WWE Hall of Famer is ‘considered one of the greatest color commentators of all time.’
Cole would also reference Ventura’s championship reigns, including the AWA, NWA along with his acting roles and military background.
Ventura has now reacted to his appearance on last night’s WWE Raw, tweeting:
“Yes, it’s true. The Body is back home. Thank you @TripleH and the whole @WWE family.
“@CMPunk looks like hell froze over… again.”
Punk commented that ‘hell froze over’ when he made his return to a WWE ring after nearly a decade in November 2023.
Ventura would follow up with a tweet, once again referencing CM Punk, stating:
“Why did I come back? For moments like these… @WWE @CMPunk”
As can be seen below, that tweet featured a photo of Punk and Ventura shaking hands in the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Ventura was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2004 although had a tense relationship for a number of years with the company after launching legal action in 1991 against the company.
The legal action stemmed from Ventura waiving his rights to royalties on WWF Home Video sales as he was led to believe he wouldn’t be entitled to royalties under his contract.
In 1991, he discovered this was not the case and launched a fraud lawsuit winning the case in federal court.
