WWE’s Natalya has praised an international independent wrestling star who has, at the age of 23, amassed an impressive catalog of matches.
With the WWE star having created her own training facility, alongside TJ Wilson (Tyson Kidd), in the form of The Dungeon 2.0, wrestling stars from across the business are often seen training there.
Among the current crop to step through the doors is British wrestling star Kid Lykos II, who made his return to the facility this month.
Natalya shared a photo of the group, including Lykos 2, on her Twitter account, with a message that
“The mat never lies.”
Among the attendees was LJ Cleary, the fiancé of WWE’s Lyra Valkyria, who recently had his own tryout.
Kid Lykos II was seen sitting next to the original Kid Lykos in the photo, with the pair known internationally as Lykos Gym.
Having stated that he had “such a great time” being back at The Dungeon 2.0, Kid Lykos would garner praise from Natalya, who responded:
“Your work is inspiring to watch. I’m always inspired after watching you travel thousands of miles to train, and then seeing you pour your heart into practice. Energy matching energy.”
The current Progress Wrestling Tag Team Champions, Lykos Gym recently retained the title against Cleary and Cha Cha Charlie at CCW Bash At The Brew in Florida.
Natalya’s intensity and quality as a coach was recently recognized in Maxxine Dupri’s victory over Becky Lynch on WWE Raw, with the veteran reacting to that win on social media.
The mat never lies.
