A WWE broadcast partner has thanked various names following the end of their relationship and confirmed it’s not a goodbye.
It was previously reported that WWE and ESPN had struck a deal to bring all Premium Live Events to the platform, marking an end to NBC Universal’s deal.
NBC Universal’s Peacock platform had been the home of WWE PLEs since 2021, with the recent Clash in Paris being the last to air under the arrangement.
On the September 1 episode of Raw, Michael Cole paid tribute to the strength of the past partnership, giving a shout out to NBC Sports President Rick Cordella, noting he has “always been there for everybody in WWE.”
Cordella would react to the mention on WWE Raw via his own Twitter account, confirming that it isn’t a goodbye, posting:
“And a big thank you to @WWE, Nick Khan, @TripleH and @StephMcMahon for taking a chance on Peacock 5 years ago, as we were just launching.
“But it’s not goodbye. We’re excited to stay a partner of the WWE, with must-watch, Saturday Night’s Main Events for years to come.”
As previously reported, in addition to Saturday Night Main Event, NXT PLEs will also stream on Peacock, with all main roster Premium Live Events heading to ESPN.
WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event was brought back as an NBC special with the December 14, 2024 edition marking the first since 2008.
It is set to make a return on November 1, with a previous report noting it will emanate from Salt Lake City.
