New WWE Show Planned For Netflix Revealed

New WWE Show Planned For Netflix Revealed WWE

An update has emerged on WWE’s partnership with the Netflix streaming service, with plans for a new show revealed.

WWE and Netflix shocked many in January after announcing that the streaming platform will become the new home for Monday Night Raw in 2025.

Ahead of then, more details have emerged on WWE’s future with Netflix, with TKO Chief Operating Officer Mark Shapiro speaking at the JPMorgan Global Technology, Media and Communications Conference Monday.

Shapiro revealed that as part of the two sides’ deal, there will be “a lot of ancillary shoulder programming” produced for Netflix.

One planned show that Shapiro highlighted in particular was a WWE series similar to the “Formula 1: Drive to Survive” docuseries.

The Drive to Survive series gives a behind-the-scenes look at the F1 drivers and races. Six seasons of this series are available on Netflix, with the show being launched in 2019.

There has recently been some speculation about WWE announcing another new show, with a trademark filing potentially revealing the name of a new WWE-owned brand.
