WWE have announced an update regarding their plans for the introduction of two new championships.
On February 18, WWE Chief Content Officer and soon to be 2025 Hall of Fame inductee Triple H announced two new championships being added to WWE’s line-up of gold.
Unlike the introduction of the Women’s United States and Intercontinental Titles in late 2024 however, these titles would not be ones seen regularly by fans watching WWE TV, with Triple H revealing the Men’s and Women’s WWE ID Championships.
The titles would be contested by talent signed to the WWE ID program – which boasts names such as Kylie Rae, Jack Cartwheel and Cappuccino Jones to name a few, with a tournament held to determine the first champions.
Now, one month following Triple H’s announcement we now know when this tournament will begin.
As revealed by WWE ID on Twitter, the tournament will kick off with two events held in Las Vegas during WrestleMania 41 week, with Game Changer Wrestling presenting a show on April 16 and Future Stars of Wrestling presenting one on April 18.
As seen in the announcement tweet below, several stars set to compete in the tournament were also confirmed:
The WWE ID Championship Tournament will start in Las Vegas during Wrestlemania week with two Opening Round events!
@GCWrestling_ presents the ID Tournament as part of The Collective on April 16th!
@FSWVegas presents the ID Tournament on April 18th after Smackdown!
Already signed for both events are talent seen on #WWEEvolve including:

-Zayda Steel
-Ice Williams
-Jackson Drake
