WWE has announced new commentary teams for Raw, SmackDown and NXT.
The October 7 edition of SmackDown and the October 10 episode of Raw are both being billed as ‘season premieres’ of their respective shows.
Previous reports had indicated that at least the Raw announcer’s team would be shaken up ahead of the Red Brand’s premiere episode.
As first reported by Variety, all three of WWE’s main brands have new teams.
The new commentary teams are as follows:
- Michael Cole & Wade Barrett – SmackDown
- Kevin Patrick & Corey Graves – Raw
- Vic Joseph & WWE Hall of Famer Booker T – NXT
These new teams have of course resulted in some other roles being shifted as well:
- Jimmy Smith is done with WWE
- Byron Saxton will now be a backstage interviewer
- Cathy Kelley is also returning as a backstage interviewer
