WWE has hired an independent wrestler to work on SmackDown as a writer’s assistant, find out who has made the switch to behind the scenes.
While WWE has recently recruited a crop of independent wrestling stars for in-ring work, the company has now tapped one for work behind the camera.
After leaving his boots in the ring at the end of his match at PWF in North Carolina, independent wrestler Patrick Scott was reported to be joining WWE as the new writers assistant for SmackDown.
After previously noting that he would have more to share soon, now Scott has spoken out.
Taking to twitter, he wrote:
“Yesterday, I left NC as an independent wrestler.
“Today, I woke up in CT as an employee of @WWE.
“I have much more to say, but Twitter’s character limit is telling me to take it home.
“To every single person who has supported me in my 10+ year career, THANK YOU ❤️”
