WWE appears to have revealed a new logo for the Smackdown brand via an upload via their YouTube channel.
On Sunday (May 14), WWE uploaded a full match from the June 10, 2022 edition of Smackdown where current Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER would begin his historic reign that is still going strong today.
The thumbnail for this video featured a cleaner and simplified Smackdown logo, very similar in style to the new Raw logo WWE has used since uploading the full match of Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre from May 6, 2019.
You can see the new SmackDown graphic on the thumbnail of the YouTube video below.
While some speculated that the Raw logo would be the brand’s official graphic moving forward, as we saw on Monday’s Raw (May 8) no new logo was in fact featured on the show.
Others have predicted that these new logos will only be used on digital uploads, with some pointing out that these text-based logos would be better for accessibility reasons.
