New WWE Plans Pitched For Departing Star WWE

An update has emerged on more WWE plans for Ricochet, following the star appearing to be written off of TV.

Following reports that Ricochet has given notice to WWE that he will be leaving the company once his current contract expires, it was reported that WWE was preparing to write the former Intercontinental Champion off TV ahead of his deal expiring.

Sure enough, Monday’s (June 10) NXT episode saw Bron Breakker brawl with Ricochet backstage, and Breakker drive Ricochet into the windshield of a car with a brutal powerslam.

With Ricochet taken out of the arena in an ambulance, fans speculated that this was the high-flyer’s final WWE appearance.

Per PWInsider Elite (via LuigiWrestling), there has been talk within the company about Ricochet potentially having one last WWE appearance, following the huge amount of attention reports about his departure received.

There was reportedly at least a creative pitch made for him to have one more appearance, with the belief being that Ricochet’s contract expires around July.

The report did note that Monday’s Raw angle was planned to be his final appearance.

This report would suggest that Ricochet could have one more match against Bron Breakker, however the nature of the creative pitch hasn’t been confirmed.
