More details have been revealed about a new WWE show that was seemingly set to kick off, but has yet to begin filming.
According to a post from PWInsider, the idea for WWE EVOLVE is still ‘in play’, but without a concrete start date.
With nothing concrete having been confirmed, the report however does note that there is some work going on behind the scenes on progressing the idea forward.
According to the report, Gabe Sapolsky (who has been ‘overseeing the WWE ID brand thus far’) will be at the helm creatively for the show, thought to feature independent wrestling talent.
The report suggests that a potential start date would occur soon, with Mike Johnson writing:
“I’d be surprised if something didn’t happen before WrestleMania, but again, nothing is official until WWE goes forward.”
There remain no dates listed internally within WWE for anything regarding the brand despite some independent talent being asked about availability for a specific date.
That initially discussed date for a potential taping was then “postponed” says the report.
