A new WWE signing has been revealed as a new report shares details about when the company expressed interest.
As has been expected over the past few weeks, Jordynne Grace has signed with WWE.
According to a report from Fightful Select confirming the signing, Grace has put pen to paper on a “a multi-year contract” with WWE.
However, while she may have been referred to by media and fans as a ‘free agent’, the report clarifies that there was actually barely any free agency period.
The report details that WWE had ‘made the offer a couple of weeks before’ Jordynne Grace finished up with TNA Wrestling.
TNA for their part is said in the report to have been ‘fully aware’ of Grace’s impending departure from the company.
Those who spoke to Fightful from WWE said that the former Knockouts Champion “was signed almost immediately” after her last TNA match, noting that they “didn’t want to let her get to free agency”.
Jordynne Grace made her first WWE appearance in last year’s Royal Rumble, which could tee her up to become a two-time surprise entrant.
According to PWInsider, Grace is expected to be in Indianapolis, the site of the Royal Rumble, when it takes place on Saturday.
