WWE Files New Stone Cold Steve Austin Related Trademark WWE

WWE has filed a trademark application for an iconic Stone Cold Steve Austin Phrase that dates back to King of the Ring in 1996.

At the Austin defeated Jake Roberts to win the King of the Ring final going on to deliver a speech post-match that can be seen below this news story.

Using Roberts’ religion as a key point in his speech, Austin would deliver a line featuring that would go down in history, saying:

“Austin 3:16 says I just whipped your ass.”

WWE has filed a trademark application for the term “AUSTIN 3:16” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

The application was filed on September 16, 2024, and falls under the category:

“Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely, blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.”

Austin has recently discussed the possibility of an in-ring return having last competed at WrestleMania 38 in April 2022.

That return saw him defeat Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred Match in Austin’s first match since March 2003.

Recently, a photo emerged of Austin that got WWE fans excited about a potential return to the ring.
