The date and location of this year’s WWE Night of Champions premium live event has been confirmed during Backlash.
Night of Champions last took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 2023 after an eight-year hiatus, and was the show where Seth Rollins beat AJ Styles to become the first holder of the current version of the World Heavyweight Championship.
There was no Night of Champions in 2024, as it was replaced by the King & Queen of the Ring event in Jeddah.
This year, Night of Champions returns, and will emanate from Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The show will take place on June 28, which is three weeks after Money in the Bank on June 7.
While this doesn’t guarantee they’ll be part the show, featured in the promotional video that aired during Backlash for WWE Night of Champions 2025 were John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, Roman Reigns, Jey Uso and CM Punk.
In other news related to Saudi Arabia, this year will be the first year that WWE holds Crown Jewel outside of Saudi, as it’ll instead be taking place in Perth, Australia in October.
So far during Backlash, the event has seen a big free agent debut and playing a big part in the finish of the opening match.
