A match set for this coming Saturday’s June 28 WWE Night of Champions premium live event has been canceled.
There have been many question marks throughout the past 24 hours regarding Night of Champions, but all indications as of this writing are that it will be going ahead in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia as planned.
However, one of the matches that had been announced for the show won’t be happening.
Last week, Liv Morgan suffered a legitimate injury in her match with Kairi Sane, ruling her out of action for a number of months as she requires shoulder surgery.
According to an announcement on tonight’s Raw, Morgan isn’t the only Judgment Day member injured.
Raw General Manager Adam Pearce stated that Dominik Mysterio is injured as well, and won’t be available for Night of Champions.
That means Mysterio’s Intercontinental Championship defense against AJ Styles, which had been announced for the PLE, is postponed.
Pearce said that Styles will be first in line for a title shot when Mysterio is able to return to the ring.
Later in the show, Mysterio said in an interview that his ribs “aren’t 100%” – we’ll keep you posted with any updates.
WWE also announced an injury to LA Knight tonight.
