A former WWE star has reacted to fans chanting his name during the post-show following the Night of Champions event.
The June 28 premium live event emanated from the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Following John Cena defeating CM Punk in the main event of the show, WWE held a post-show, which featured Jackie Redmond and Byron Saxton speaking with various guests.
The passionate crowd made themselves heard while WWE CCO Triple H was at the table, with various chants breaking out.
One of the chants saw the Saudi Arabian WWE fans name Matt Cardona, who has now acknowledged these fans.
The former “Zack Ryder” took to Twitter to thank these fans, writing:
“Thanks Saudi Arabia… I heard you.”
This is not the first time this month that Cardona’s name has been spoken on WWE TV, with John Cena name-dropping three former WWE stars during his pipe-bomb imitation promo on the June 20 SmackDown episode.
Cardona, Nic Nemeth and Claudio Castagnoli all appeared to acknowledge Cena naming them with social media posts.
Cardona’s genuine initial reaction to this moment was recently revealed, click here to read more.
Thanks Saudi Arabia…I heard you.
