A WWE star has commented after retaining his championship at NXT Deadline, reacting to John Cena’s music playing following his match.
Ethan Page put his NXT North American Championship on the line on December 6, ultimately defeating Mr Iguana to remain a double champion.
The NXT North American and AAA World Mixed Tag-Team champion has shared a video following the match of him leaving the ring while John Cena’s music was playing.
Declaring himself the best wrestler in the world, Ethan Page said:
“You know what’s crazy, they’ve got John (Cena)’s music playing, I find it fitting he chooses to retire the year I start cooking.
“I am the best professional wrestler in the world, not just WWE, not just AAA, I’ve done TNA, I’ve done Evolve, I’ve done it all. I’ve held this title longer, I’ve defended it more, and now I’m defending two titles.
“Hell, I’ve defended my mixed tag title more times than world champions in this company. Everyone here can kiss the best ass in the biz, mine.”
