WWE Officials ‘Blown Away’ By NXT Star, Main Roster Call-Up A ‘Matter Of Time’

A new report has revealed WWE officials have been “blown away” by former NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez.

Roxanne Perez has been pegged as a future star for WWE since signing with the company in 2022. The former NXT Women’s Champion has been a name brought up on many occasions as a developmental talent that is ready for the jump to the main roster.

Perez has appeared in back-to-back Royal Rumble matches in 2023 and 2024, but there is now an update on when her move to the main roster might come.

Fightful Select (subscription required) provided an update, noting that major WWE officials have been impressed with Roxanne Perez during her main roster appearances and her callup to the main roster is described as “a matter of time.”

Perez recently underwent a character transformation where she turned heel in her ongoing rivalry with Lyra Valkyria on the NXT brand. The two will battle for the NXT Women’s Championship at Stand & Deliver this Saturday, April 6.

The report notes that some in NXT would like Perez to stick around the brand for the time being to allow her to continue developing her heel character, which is said to have blown away officials.

Some within NXT are even pushing for Perez to dethrone Valkyria for the NXT Women’s Championship at Stand & Deliver.
