Adam Cole causes chaos
Kyle O’Reilly just wants to get this match done. He wants Adam Cole and this match is nothing but a delay in that happening.
The team of O’Reilly, Strong and Balor take control of the match, with O’Reilly wrestling like a man possessed. I love it when we get to see this side of Kyle.
Just before the break, Dunne manages to stop O’Reilly’s momentum, and we get the classic “HOW CAN THEY POSSIBLY CO-EXIST?!?!?!” call from the commentary table. It would be more effective if they didn’t say it 20 times during the show already.
This match is breaking down! Balor runs wild, and Roddy helps him clear the ring of everyone but Pete Dunne. Balor sets up a shotgun dropkick, but the referee gets in the way!
Adam Cole comes out and pushes Balor into the referee. The poor ref!
Cole goes straight for O’Reilly, suplexing him onto the steel steps. That looked sore.
We’re back in the ring, and Balor accidentally overhead kicks Roddy Strong. This allows Dunne to hit Balor with the Bitter End for the pin.
What a chaotic, but very entertaining match.
Adam Cole vs, Kyle O’Reilly? Yes please.

Zoey Stark def. Valentina Feroz
Zoey Stark, who you may know as Lacey Ryan prior to signing with WWE, takes on someone called Valentina Feroz.
Despite some early offense from Feroz, Stark is able to take control with an impressive display of power. A kick to the jaw, a half-nelson suplex, and a running knee to the jaw of Feroz put Stark in complete control.
An awesome knee to the face finisher (I don’t know what it’s called) wins the match. A very impressive debut, and clearly one to watch for the future.
Scarlett and Karrion Kross cut a spooky promo, threatening Santos Escobar ahead of their rearranged match next week.

KUSHIDA def. Tyler Rust
KUSHIDA is not 100% for this match, and Tyler Rust is looking to make the most of that straight away.
Rust is focusing on wearing down his opponent, who went through a 25-minute battle with Johnny Gargano at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day on Sunday.
Rust really attacking the injured neck of KUSHIDA, an axe kick doing a lot of damage to the Japanese veteran.
Malcolm Bivens is getting very frustrated at ringside, but his man is in a good position, catching KUSHIDA in a sleeper hold in the middle of the ring.
KUSHIDA starts targeting the arm of Rust, much as he targeted Gargano’s this weekend, and that proves vital.
KUSHIDA locks in the Hoverboard lock, and Bivens jumps onto the ring apron to throw in the towel for his client.
We get a promo video for Zoey Stark, who debuts next.
With @Malcolmvelli looking on, @TylerRust_WWE looks to focus his attack on @KUSHIDA_0904‘s neck in a high-octane battle on #WWENXT! pic.twitter.com/mFN2PRDC77

Title matches incoming
Beth Phoenix is in the ring to present the Dusty Rhodes Classic trophies to MSK and Kai & Gonzalez. MSK are out first, and they’ve clearly had a bit too much Kool-Aid. They’re very excited.
They’ll be challenging Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan for the NXT tag titles on March 3, which should be very fun to watch.
Next up, Gonzalez and Kai come to the ring, and they’re also very happy. They say they were the best team in the tournament, so it’s no surprise…
Oh look, it’s Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax, the current WWE Women’s tag champions. Remember when Shayna was in NXT and she was the most dominant women’s wrestler on the planet? Me too.
These promos are really bad. It’s like they weren’t given anything to work with, and then they forgot what they were going to say anyway.
Kai and Gonzalez have earned a shot at the women’s tag titles, and they’ll be facing them on March 3 as well. Many title matches.
Beth and MSK are in the corner of the ring eating popcorn, which honestly is the best part of this whole thing.
Nia says some stuff.
Raquel Gonzalez is terrifying. She is honestly one of the most convincingly dominant women in WWE right now, and it’s only a matter of time before someone notices on the main roster.
Gonzalez finishes by saying she’s gonna kick Nia’s hole, because of course she did. WWE kills another joke.
#MSK and @TheBethPhoenix have the right idea!!!

Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter def. Aliyah & Jessi Kamea
Oh no, it’s Aliyah! Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter have no chance, now!
Catanzaro hits Aliyah with a front flip heel-kick, and then I looked away to type this and I miss the finish…but Carter pinned Aliyah.
But once again, the match wasn’t the point of all of this, because out comes scary Xia Li, who puts black paint on Catanzaro’s hand, and says “next week, I will punish you”.
I really don’t know what all of this is, but Xia Li is cool.
Malcolm Bivens cuts a promo with Tyler Rust, and Bivens cuts a promo on KUSHIDA, warning him of the threat of Rust.
Up next, we’ve got the trophy presentations for MSK, Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez, who won their respective Dusty Classic tournaments this past weekend.
Leon Ruff def. Isaiah "Swerve" Scott
KUSHIDA is backstage getting medical attention, but in comes Bronson Reed to put his name into the North American Championship hat. Malcolm Bivens then interrupts to say he knows someone else who could face KUSHIDA to prove himself.
Isaiah “Swerve” Scott is in action against Leon Ruff, who despite being a former North American Champion doesn’t get an entrance. That’s sad.
Ruff completely whiffs a drop kick, but takes early control before a huge knee from Scott changes the match momentum completely.
Scott hits Ruff with a brutal back-breaker, and follows this up with a big dropkick to the back, leaving Ruff barely conscious outside the ring.
Once again Scott is left very frustrated, as Ruff escapes with what we can probably call a shock win. Ruff wins with a crucifix pin, but Scott snaps after the match, slapping Leon in the face and throwing him hard into the corner turnbuckles.
“I’m tired of seeing you getting handed everything, while I have to scratch and claw. This is Swerve’s time.”
Ember Moon & Shotzi Blackheart def. Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell
Indi and Candice get hung up on the middle rope and get hit by a huge kick and cannonball combo from Shotzi and Ember.
LeRae then manages to distract Blackheart, and Hartwell is able to take control of Moon in the middle of the ring.
We then cut to a white van…which is probably being driven by Dexter Lumis, but we’ll wait and see.
Hartwell catches Moon in the face with an elbow for a near fall, but it feels like the majority of the story of this match is taking place outside the ring, because we’ve got Johnny Gargano on commentary, fretting about the whereabouts of Austin Theory, who was abducted by Dexter Lumis this past weekend.
Moon is isolated in the Hartwell/LeRae corner of the ring, but it feels like we’re leading to a Blackheart hot tag soon.
We cut back to the white van, and Gargano jumps off commentary to go and see what it’s all bout. Seems like a pretty stupid idea, Johnny.
We’re back from the commercial break and it’s all hell for leather in the ring. Everyone’s hitting their moves, but once again we cut to the white van, and now Johnny Gargano is there, trying to see if Theory is inside.
Back to the match, and LeRae hits Blackheart with a huge superkick. Shotzi uses LeRae to hit Hartwell, and we get another nearfall, this time for Moon, who hits a facebuster on LeRae.
The finish comes when Austin Theory appears at the top of the ramp with Johnny Gargano, which leads to Hartwell being rolled up.
Despite the loss, LeRae and Hartwell run to celebrate with Gargano and Theory, who has been stripped to his underwear. Dexter Lumis is a weird guy.
Next we get a Pat McAfee promo from a private plane. He says he’s the greatest thing to happen to wrestling, and says he warned everyone about Adam Cole. #PatWasRight
He’s back!! @austintheory1 has been found! 👀 👏#WWENXT #TheWay @JohnnyGargano @CandiceLeRae @indi_hartwell pic.twitter.com/bDmWjwsEGQ

Kyle O'Reilly calls out Adam Cole
Kyle O’Reilly is out in the ring to open the show. He’s completely broken. He doesn’t understand what happened.
“Adam, you’re still my brother. I have to know what that was on Sunday”.
He asks Adam Cole to come out and explain himself. He says he’s willing to hear Cole out, but admits he’ll probably want to punch him in the face.
Undisputed Era’s music hits, but it’s not Adam Cole, it’s Roderick Strong. Strong explains that Adam regrets what he did, but Kyle doesn’t want to hear it. Kyle says Roddy is wasting everyone’s time by coming out here, and warns him against entering the ring, because he doesn’t know who to trust anyone anymore.
Again, it’s not Adam Cole whose music hits, it’s NXT Champion Finn Balor.
Finn says Kyle can get in line if he wants to attack Adam Cole. He says Kyle and him have business to attend to, but before anything else can happen, out come Pete Dunne, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch to attack everyone at ringside.
Dunne has to be forcibly removed from Finn Balor, who he immediately went for.
William Regal appears on the titantron to explain that Santos Escobar vs. Karrion Kross will be next week instead of this week, and reveals the main event will be Pete Dunne, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch vs. Finn Balor, Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong in a 6-man tag match.
Still not the Superstar, @KORcombat had in mind.
