WWE Match Changed Due To Injury

WWE Match Changed Due To Injury WWE

Following an attack to end last week’s WWE NXT, the NXT North American number one contenders match has been changed due to injury.

On the May 14 edition of WWE NXT, a NXT North American Championship number one contenders triple threat match was made to determine Oba Femi’s next challenger.

With Wes Lee, Ivar and Josh Briggs all jockeying for position, a new contender entered the fray when Gallus made their return to beat down all three men to close last Tuesday’s show.

After the attack, it was revealed that Ivar suffered an injury that will force him to miss the scheduled bout.

On May 20, WWE officially announced that the match has been changed to have Joe Coffey of Gallus replace Ivar. The post reads:

Josh Briggs wanted it.
@WesLee_WWE wanted it.

@avawwe_made it happen.

@Joe_Coffey will take the place of the injured @Ivar_WWE in the North American Championship No. 1 Contenders Triple Threat Match TOMORROW on #WWENXT!

The match has already been taped following the May 14 NXT TV taping – you can read the spoilers here.

The winner of this Tuesday’s number one contenders match will face Oba Femi for the NXT North American Championship at NXT Battleground on Sunday, June 9. For the full lineup for the premium live event, click here.
