In the main event of tonight’s WWE NXT, the North American Championship was on the line as Wes Lee took on Tony D’Angelo.
On tonight’s (December 27) WWE NXT, North American Champion Wes Lee took on a returning to action don of NXT, Tony D’Angelo.
In a hard hitting affair, D’Angelo showed that he was very much back in action as he sought revenge against Wes Lee.
After the supporting Stacks Lorenzo at ringside was attacked by Dijak and dragged away, Lee was able to capitalize on the distraction.
Finally in the end, it was champion Wes Lee who was able to retain his NXT North American Championship to enter 2023 as the champ!
Elsewhere on tonight’s WWE NXT, another grudge match was added to the upcoming special edition of NXT, New Years Evil.
Also, the future of Toxic Attraction was addressed as Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin named their next target.
