Backstage Reaction To Ridge Holland & Andre Chase Winning WWE NXT Tag Team Championship

Backstage footage has emerged with the reaction to Ridge Holland and Andre Chase winning the WWE NXT Tag Team Championship.

In tonight’s August 13 WWE NXT main event, the Chase U combination of Andre Chase and Ridge Holland were able to beat Nathan Frazer and Axiom to become the new champions.

After the win, the show went off the air with a thunderous celebration including plenty of confetti. Now after the show, Andre Chase has posted a photo of himself with his new gold.

He wrote:

This is A TEACHABLE MOMENT‼️ Hold on to your receipts..

#AndNew #WWENXT

In reference to the “receipts” line, he quote tweeted a post from a few weeks ago in which he’d stated: “Chase U is the glue… and something is going to stick very soon. Save this tweet.”

Andre Chase has previously won NXT tag team gold in the past with fellow Chase U member Duke Hudson, but they only held the titles for 21 days in October to November of 2023.

WWE also shared a video of Chase, Holland and the rest of Chase U getting to the backstage area after the big win and being greeted by Shawn Michaels.

Michaels can be heard saying “That was so good” as Holland approached him.

Duke Hudson said into the camera twice, “it’s not about me, but I’m clapping for them”, while Thea Hail exclaimed “Chase U!”

Chase would go on to point out that people didn’t believe in them, but now they had to because they are champions.
