A WWE star has commented ahead of his NXT TV singles debut, sending a message to his upcoming opponent.
The February 17 NXT episode will see Tony D’Angelo make his televised in-ring return, with the former North American Champion set to wrestle his first match on TV since July 2025.
The match will also be significant for D’Angelo’s opponent, with Cutler James set to wrestle his first NXT TV singles match.
James has taken to Twitter to acknowledge this singles debut and send a warning to Tony D’Angelo.
James wrote:
Singles debut tomorrow and I am gonna make tony wish he never came back to #WWENXT
Cutler James made his WWE in-ring debut in a dark match in August 2023.
Having also wrestled on NXT Level Up and WWE LFG, the DarkState member has only wrestled in tag-team matches on NXT TV so far.
Tony D’Angelo’s most recent televised match saw him defeat Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Luca Crusifino in three-way action on the July 15, 2025 NXT episode.
