Reason For WWE PLE Booking Decision Revealed WWE

The reason behind the booking of an upcoming WWE PLE taking place during WrestleMania 41 week has been revealed.

NXT Stand & Deliver takes place on April 19, 2025, ahead of WWE WrestleMania 41 night one in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Five matches have been announced for the upcoming show, with only one being a singles match in which Ricky Starks defends his NXT North American Championship against the winner of a Fatal Four Way match on the April 15, 2025, episode of NXT.

With multiple multi-person matches set for the upcoming show at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, Shawn Michaels has addressed the booking.

Speaking on the Bobby Bones Show, the WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development, Creative, revealed that NXT Stand & Deliver will give more opportunity for stars to be seen, saying:

“We have a lot of multi-person matches at Stand and Deliver. And look, a lot of people don’t like that. But these young men and women work throughout the entire year.

“Not all of them get an opportunity to be on PLEs, to be on those road shows, to be on those televisions that are on the road that we’ve been doing so much more of lately.

“We want to give as many people as we can an opportunity to perform on the biggest weekend. That’s the reason people get into this line of work to have that experience, to have those moments. And we’re hoping to have a lot of standouts at Stand and Deliver.”

Being a standout performer is something that Michaels noted as being important for NXT personnel to track, explaining:

“I think it’s something that we definitely keep an eye on, and any time there’s a performance or somebody that goes above and beyond, whether it’s in a match or throughout the entire year, we try to take care of them as much as possible.”

Alongside Ricky Starks defending his title against either Eddy Thorpe or Ethan Page or Lexis King or Wes Lee, the rest of the card for NXT Stand & Deliver can be found here.
