A WWE star currently active on the NXT brand is expected to make their return to the main roster ‘soon’ following their return.
After missing 10 months of action with a knee injury, Shotzi made her return to the NXT brand back in December, coming to the aid of Tatum Paxley and Gigi Dolin against Fatal Influence.
Shotzi suffered her injury wrestling Lyra Valkyria for the NXT Women’s Championship last February, but her stay in NXT is not expected to be a very long one.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), Shotzi was originally planned to be a part of last night’s Women’s Royal Rumble match.
Shotzi was slated for a spot in the match, before WWE came to an agreement with Alexa Bliss for a return, with her replacing Shotzi in the match.
However, Shotzi is still expected to return to the main roster soon, with her still being under a main roster contract, and her return to NXT was to simply get some reps in after her long injury lay off.
