A WWE NXT star has reportedly been released by the company in a move that actually happened last month, January 2025.
In November 2024, a match took place on WWE NXT TV between Ridge Holland and Andre Chase, which, if Holland won, the Chase U faction would have to disband.
Holland did win, and while we have seen Chase since then, we haven’t seen the group’s other members Thea Hail, Riley Osborne and Duke Hudson.
As reported by Fightful Select, Duke Hudson was released by WWE in January.
As of this writing, there’s no known reason for the release.
Hudson had been with WWE since early 2019, and actually had a short stint on Raw alongside Shane Thorne managed by MVP in 2020 during the ‘Performance Center/pandemic era’.
He ended up back in NXT and was one of the top heels in the revamped NXT 2.0 as a poker expert, before he went on to turn babyface and joined Chase U.
He and Andre Chase had a 21-day NXT Tag Team Championship reign in October-November 2023.
