A WWE NXT star has responded to recent comparisons fans have made between him and multi-time WWE World Champion Brock Lesnar.
Karrion Kross only debuted on NXT TV a few weeks ago, but has been presented as an extremely dominant force, especially with his win over former NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa at TakeOver last Sunday.
Some fans have drawn comparisons between Kross and Lesnar, mainly due to his size and the immediate impact he’s had since debuting.
Speaking with Newsweek, Kross addressed these comparisons – in particular about the Lesnar vs Cena match at SummerSlam 2014 which was similar to Kross vs Ciampa, saying:
“In a situation like that, my own perspective on what we did, I think they are less important than what the fans’ have. It’s important to listen to them and listen to what they are saying because they are who we are catering to and all the comparisons I found very flattering and complimentary. I was personally flattered especially if you’re going to be compared to the greatest people in the business. It’s not a bad thing.”
It looks like Kross’ early dominance on NXT will continue as he seems set to be catapulted to the brand’s top title picture.
After Adam Cole beat Dexter Lumis last night, Kross’ real-life and on-screen partner Scarlett came out and left a sand timer in the ring, signalling that Kross was coming for Cole’s strap.
