The next two matches in the John Cena ‘Last Time Is Now’ Tournament have been confirmed on tonight’s WWE Raw show.
The tournament to determine John Cena’s final opponent got underway on tonight’s WWE Raw show in Boston, with Rusev defeating Damian Priest and Sheamus defeating Shinsuke Nakamura in the first two matches of the tournament.
After the matches, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce announced the next two matches for the tournament, taking place on next week’s WWE Raw show in Madison Square Garden.
The first match featured the first confirmed WWE NXT star in the tournament, with Je’von Evans set to compete in his first WWE Raw match against the returning former World Heavyweight Champion Gunther.
The second match set for next week will see Solo Sikoa of the MFTs face off against a mystery competitor who was not announced by Pearce.
The next two matches of the tournament will take place this Friday on SmackDown, with The Miz facing Jey Uso and LA Knight facing a mystery opponent yet to be announced.
Cena himself captured the Intercontinental Championship for the first time in his career on tonight’s show.
