Multiple WWE stars are potentially set to undertake a tour in another country next year, according to a recent report.
With WWE having acquired AAA earlier this year, it isn’t unusual to see their stars compete in Mexico.
Beyond that, WWE maintain a business partnership with Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan, with NXT’s Charlie Dempsey and Harlem Lewis having recently featured on their shows.
It is now being reported that female WWE NXT stars could be heading to Japan next year, with ‘tentative plans’ seemingly in place.
Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer revealed the details, although he didn’t specify whether this would lead to female NXT stars in NOAH, Dream Star Fighting Marigold or appearing for both Japanese companies.
The relationship with NOAH has also previously seen Omos as the GHC Tag Team Champion alongside Jack Morris.
A number of female WWE stars have also competed in Marigold since its inception in April 2024, with IYO SKY recently victorious against Mayu Iwatani.
SKY has revealed that she would like to make a return to Japan to face more opponents on their independent wrestling scene.
At the time of writing, the names of the NXT stars who could be heading to Japan is not known.
WrestleTalk will provide more details about the potential tour to Japan as they emerge.
