During last night’s NXT TakeOver XXX event on the WWE Network, WWE confirmed the return date for the NXT UK brand that has been inactive lately.
The brand will make its return on September 17, following reports that the roster was in London getting COVID-19 tested yesterday. Tapings will take place at the BT Sport studio.
NXT UK has been inactive since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic due to the social distancing rules in the UK, and instead replays, highlights and classic matches have aired instead of new content. The last proper episode was April 2.
The brand did still make the news over the last few months as several roster members were either released or suspended due to allegations made against them during the #SpeakingOut movement.
There is a TakeOver currently scheduled for Dublin on October 25 after being postponed in April, but Triple H said in the post-TakeOver media call that it might be postponed to a later date again.
