The viewership figures for the June 15 episode of NXT, featuring the return of Samoa Joe, have been revealed.
This week dealt with the fallout from NXT TakeOver: In Your House. Following Sunday’s show, Tuesday’s episode of NXT saw an increase in viewership.
As per PWTorch, Tuesday night’s show drew an average of 695,000 viewers, which is up from the 669,000 figure that last week’s show brought in.
The show earned an average 0.19 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic, a slight decrease from last week’s 0.20 rating.
The big talking point from Tuesday’s show was the return of Samoa Joe, after he was released by WWE in April. A report has claimed that Triple H “snatched him back“, and was unhappy he was fired in the first place.
The former NXT Champion acted as William Regal’s enforcer, even choking out Adam Cole during the show. The clip of Joe getting physical with the former Undisputed Era member has over 717,000 views on YouTube at the time of writing.
NXT UK star Piper Niven made her main-roster debut on this week’s episode of Raw. In an exclusive interview with WrestleTalk, Alexander Wolfe noted that not all NXT performers aim to become stars on Raw and SmackDown.
