WWE’s William Regal has reflected on his time with the NXT brand, ahead of the final episode of NXT TV on the USA Network.
Ahead of NXT TV moving to CW on October 1, Tuesday’s (September 24) episode will air on USA one last time.
William Regal has now taken to Twitter to comment on NXT’s move from the WWE Network to TV in 2019, thanking Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Matt Bloom for fighting for the developmental brand.
Sharing WWE’s NXT recap video, Regal wrote:
“I was part of the very beginning of WWE’s NXT. I’m still involved, but not as much as I was.
“Thank you to Triple H, Shawn (Michaels), Matt (Bloom) and everyone else that fought the fight of making a one hour program on The WWE Network to traveling the world and making new stars and memories for the fans.
“It continues today. Doesn’t matter what the colour scheme is or was, or has been, we changed the wrestling world although few will want to admit it.
“It’s been the best part of a 41 year career being WWE NXT to the core.”
Regal has been a big part of NXT both on and off screen, with the popular name notably serving as NXT General Manager from July 2014 to January 2022.
His return to WWE television following his return to the company took place on the January 23 edition of NXT TV, when he appointed Ava the new NXT General Manager.
