First Two Advance In NXT Women’s Championship Tournament WWE

Find out who was the first woman to advance in the NXT Women’s Championship tournament after the first round kicked off tonight (May 9).

In the opening bout of tonight’s edition of NXT, the first match in the first round of the NXT Women’s Championship tournament.

After the episode opened with all of the quarterfinalists on the entrance ramp, the first match was between Tiffany Stratton and Gigi Dolin.

After hard hitting action, it was Tiffany Stratton who was able to hit her finisher ‘The Prettiest Moonsault Ever’ and capture the pinfall victory over Dolin to advance.

In the second tournament match of the night, Lyra Valkyria took on Kiana James to see who would advance.

In the end it was Lyra Valkyria who took home the pinfall and advances in the tournament.

The final of the NXT Women’s Championship tournament is set for NXT’s premium live event, NXT Battleground on May 28, 2023.

In the semi-finals, Stratton will face the winner of next week’s quarter-final between Roxanne Perez and Jacy Jayne, while Valkyria will face the winner of Cora Jade vs Fallon Henley.
