Former WWE Star Nominated For Company’s Match Of The Year Award WWE

Former WWE star Dijak has reacted to one of his matches being included as a potential Match of the Year candidate.

Dijak announced he would be leaving WWE in June 2024 after the company chose not to renew his deal.

He would return to the independent wrestling scene shortly thereafter using the name Donovan Dijak and recently defeated Matt Riddle at MLW Eric Bischoff’s One-Shot on December 5.

With Dijak’s time in WWE ending with a run in NXT, the 2024 NXT End of Year Awards have included one of his matches in the Match of the Year category.

The match being nominated is the Triple Threat Match for the NXT North American Championship which also featured Oba Femi and Josh Briggs.

Dijak has reacted to the nomination on Twitter in a message that reads:

“Honestly I’m really thankful that they included our triple threat from Stand and Deliver as an option for Match of the Year.

“They didn’t have to do that and I know all three of us appreciate it.”
