A WWE star has revealed the reason that they betrayed a teammate, leading to a recent missed championship opportunity.
The February 24 WWE NXT episode saw Sol Ruca take on Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women’s Championship, with Zaria accompanying her ZaRuca teammate.
Zaria would spare no time in turning on her now-former teammate, hitting a Spear and then an F5 on Ruca before the bell had rung.
While Sol would call for the bell to ring, Jacy Jayne made light work of her opponent, hitting the Rolling Encore to retain the NXT Women’s Championship in a match that lasted barely seconds.
The betrayal wasn’t over after the match, either, with Zaria delivering another F5 on Sol and now revealing her reasons for her actions on Twitter, stating:
“Try and walk all over me now, bitch”
A fan would share the opinion that “Zaria is not the villain in this story”, suggesting that the ZaRuca partnership wasn’t one of equals, but one where Ruca used her teammate, something that the NXT star would agree upon in a Twitter post, saying:
“Took the words right out of my mouth.”
Bully Ray, the WWE Hall of Famer, had previously predicted the breakup, believing that Zaria is jealous of Sol Ruca.
Sol Ruca was one of three newer WWE stars to be praised by Triple H during a recent company-wide Town Hall meeting.
