WWE have offered a contract to the son of Hall of Famer Scott Steiner, according to comments from Big Poppa Pump.
With Rick Steiner’s son Bron Breakker currently flourishing in WWE as Intercontinental Champion, it seems as if he may soon be joined by his cousin Brock Rechstenier – the son of Scott Steiner.
Appearing on Busted Open Radio, Scott Steiner was asked by Bubba Ray Dudley about Bron Breakker’s success in WWE and whether he was the “olive branch” between The Steiner brothers and WWE, after a rocky relationship over the years.
In reply, Steiner said that was “absolutely” the case and lead to him “burying the hatchet” with the company:
“I left with a lot of hard feelings, but at some point you gotta let it be. You can’t be angry the whole time you can’t hold a grudge.
“Plus the fact a lot of people you hold a grudge against probably don’t even know anyways. And I didn’t want to screw anything up for him (Bron Breakker) so, I just buried the hatchet.”
As a testament to the repaired relationship, Steiner then revealed that he received a call from Triple H several weeks ago offering his son Brock an NIL deal in WWE:
“A matter of fact Hunter called me the other day, maybe like three weeks ago and offered my boy an NIL deal.”
Steiner would then reveal how an impressive football outing on ESPN from Brock was what led to WWE taking notice of him:
“He’s got one more year in college. He had some really good publicity with ESPN when he was playing football, he scored a 75-yard touchdown and then another touchdown, then they showed the side-by-side comparisons of me when I was wrestling, and it was good for him. WWE saw that and one thing led to another.”
Steiner revealed to ESPN last month that his son has eyes on a career in pro wrestling once he’s done with football, even noting that Brock would retain the Steiner name as a wrestler, unlike Bron Breakker.
We will provide further updates on Brock Rechsteiner’s future in pro wrestling as more information becomes available.
